The old way
Why the Oil Drain Tool exists
Pull a drain plug the old way, you have to take off your skid plate in order to avoid the oil running down the side of the engine, bike, and right into the skid plate to pool and drain. So the plate comes off (adding 10-20 mins taking it off then putting it back on), the bolts go missing, and the floor gets... wet.

The Toolz
way.
01
No mess
Oil runs through the tool and the hose, straight into the pan. Not down the frame. Not over your hands.
02
No shop bill
It is a driveway job now. Eight steps, a pan and fresh oil. Keep the shop money for parts.
03
No wrestling
The skid plate stays bolted on. No dropped bolts, no plate to fight, no scraped knuckles.
How it works
Eight steps. Our fastest oil change took 8 minutes.

- 01
Warm it up
Warm the bike up to operating temperature. Shut it off. Turn the fuel off.
- 02
Lean it over
Lean the bike over so the drain points up. Rest the handlebar grip on a workstand.
- KTM up to 2016: lean left
- KTM 2017+ 250/300: lean right
- 03
Plug out
Pull the transmission drain plug. Make sure the old copper washer comes out with it.
- 04
Tool in
Check the O ring is on the tool. Screw it into the drain by hand. Finger tight seals it. No wrench.
- 05
Stand it up
Stand the bike up on its side stand and slide a pan under the end of the hose.
- 06
Let it flow
Pull the bung. Oil runs through the tool and hose, straight into the pan. The skid plate stays on.
- Pro tip: pull the filler cap. It drains faster.
- 07
Finish up
Lean back over and unscrew the tool by hand. Clean the magnet, fit the bolt with the new copper washer, torque it to your manual and refill.
- 08
Tool out, then ride
Check the tool is out and the drain bolt is in. Never ride with the Oil Drain Tool installed.

Small tool.
Serious machining.

01 / Body
CNC machined aluminium.
CNC machined from aluminium. Black is the everyday finish. Orange and blue run in limited numbers.

02 / Grip
Knurled to turn by hand.
Deep diamond knurling on the grip, so it spins in and out with your fingers, even when everything is oily.

03 / Seal
Finger tight. No wrench.
An NBR O ring seals the tool against the case. Hand tight is all it needs, so there is no wrench anywhere near your case threads.

04 / Bung
Deluxe aluminium bung.
A machined, knurled cap plugs the hose until you are ready. Every kit ships with it.

05 / Hose
25 cm of medical grade silicone.
Clear, soft and long enough to reach the pan with the bike back on its stand. You watch the oil leave.

Questions
Asked in
the garage.
Do I need to take the skid plate off?
No. That is the point. The tool screws into the drain and the hose carries the oil past the skid plate into the pan.
Can I ride with the tool installed?
Never. The tool is for draining only. Take it out, refit your drain bolt with the new copper washer and torque it to the spec in your service manual before the bike runs.
Standard or Long?
Standard suits KTM 2 strokes up to 2016. Long suits 2017 and newer KTM and Husqvarna 250 and 300 2 strokes, where the drain sits deeper. The Standard also works on the newer bikes, it is just a bit farther to reach. Use the fit checker above for your bike.
Will it fit my bike?
It threads into any oil drain with an M12 × 1.5 thread. Check your bike in the fit checker, and check your drain bolt before you buy.
Do I need a wrench to fit it?
No. The O ring seals it finger tight. Do not over tighten it.
What is the copper washer for?
Your drain bolt. Fit the fresh copper crush washer when the bolt goes back in.
What torque and how much oil?
Follow your service manual for oil grade, oil volume and drain bolt torque. It is different from bike to bike.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide, from Canada. Shipping is added at checkout.
